  About the artist:

Bev studied art in the Maryland Art Institute in Rockville Maryland. Influenced by water color techniques she has added bold color and strokes to  the fluid washes to create a unique style. Incorportating travel to France and the Carribean, the paintings invite you to join them on the journey.

 In August of 2010 Bev opened a gallery in the quaint and vibrant town of Mt. Dora Florida. Known for its eclectic mix of artists, musicians and historic architecture, Mt. Dora is a great place to stroll for a day trip and visit.  Located on the main street of Donnelly the gallery shares space with the One Flight Up Cafe.   

 New watercolor pieces are being added to the gallery  in the style of "vitreous flux". This unique technique was invented by a New England artist, David Baker. He taught several local artists how to use the impervious glossy surface of a board with water colors and dry brush. This summer I studied with an artist, Lisa Surrette  in Conway New Hampshire who was a student of David Bakers. We have continued lessons on Skype so I can become better with the techniques.

Ceciles French Corner

Ceciles French Corner in Mt. Dora features French inspired paintings on exhibit. As you brouse the paintings inside, you can enjoy the quaint cafe with authentic french soups, salads and quiche.

Whales Tales Restaurant Old 441 Mt. Dora 

 You will find sea faring paintings including oyster sorting, sailing and a light house on Thomas Point on the Cheapeake Bay.
